The innovation:
Radon-tight KNECHT Systemkeller®
Radon is a natural radioactive inert gas created by the spontaneous radioactive decay of uranium. It can occur practically anywhere in the subsurface air in various concentrations.
In Germany the occurrence of radon has been investigated relatively thoroughly. A concentration of 100 Bq/m³ is in some cases exceeded, primarily in uplands such as the Erz mountains, Thuringian Forest, Bavarian Forest, Eifel, Black Forest, Fichtel mountains, the Harz and the foothills of the Alps.
Already in 1993 KNECHT developed radon-tight cellars that prevent radon from entering the building, thus eliminating the risk of radon contamination in the indoor air.
Today continuous, innovative further development guarantees the highest possible level of safety for the customer.
